Fallingwater was designed in 1935 for the family of Edgar J Kaufmann. The remarkable beauty of
this house is accentuated by the waterfall over which it is built. Fallingwater is the only major
Wright work to have ever come into public domain with its setting, original furnishings and artwork
intact. Located approximately 50 minutes from the Lodge and very much worth the drive.

Located in Accident, the Drane House is the oldest residence in Garrett County. The house was built prior to 1800 for
James and Priscilla Drane. This two story log structure has been carefully restored and is an amazing historical site to see.

Autumn Glory
As the biggest event of the year for Garrett County, Autumn Glory brings thousand of visitors to the area every October.
This week long event is highlighted by the Autumn Glory Parade, which no person in the Tri-State area ever wants to

Strut Your Stuff attracts car enthusiasts from all over the eastern
coast. Located at the Garrett County Fairgrounds (located just a short
walk from LakeStar Lodge) the 2007 show (September 28th - 30th)
will have special guest Rebecca Grant. ESPN2 will also be there.

Located 15 minutes from LakeStar Lodge is the breathtaking
Simon Pearce factory. Anyone is welcome to watch the glass
blowers at work. While you're there stop by their store to have a
look at the amazing job they do. Opened daily from 9 am to 5
