December 30th, 2007 - Rossignol Sunday Afternoon in the Park Series
     Wisp Resort. Sunday, Noon registration, 1 PM start. Open style park, 1 PM start. Open style
park jam event.
      Wisp Resort. Ring in 2008 with the entire family and celebrate with food, music and fireworks
at midnight.
December 31st, 2007 - First Night Oakland
     Oakland's Main Street. First Night brings family and friends together on New Year's Eve. A
safe, entertaining event that provides good, clean fun and pleasant memories.



January 5th, 2008 - National Trails Day at Wisp
     Wisp Resort. 10 AM to 4 PM. Try Free Cross Country Skiing and Snowshoeing as part of the
National Trails Program, product demos, clinics and tours.
January 5th, 2008 -  Race for Cystic Fibrosis
     Wisp Resort. Compete for a great cause. Skiers and boarders are welcome to participate in
this annual fund raiser for Cystic Fibrosis. Registration 8 AM. Race starts at 9 AM. $15.
January 6th, 2008 - Dogsledding Presentations and Kennel Visits
     Husky Power Dogsledding Home Kennels, 10 AM. Enjoy an informative and fun presentation
about mushing history, sled-dog training, racing insight, breeds, etc. Examine dogsleds and other
equipment. Meet the huskies and play with the puppies.
January 18th, 2008 - Burton Friday Night Rail Jam
     Wisp Resort. Join us in the park for a rail jam under the lights. Great prizes, awesome
competition, sponsored by Burton. Registration 6 PM. Start 7 PM.
January 19th, 2008 - Wisp Superpipe Classic
     Wisp Resort, 1 PM. The regions top snowboarders/skiers compete in the Wisp Superpipe for
the top rider. Various age and ability categories, open to skiers and riders. $20 entry fee.
January 20th, 2008 - Sports Illustrated Next Snow
      Wisp Resort. 1 PM. 9 to 14-year olds compete in 3 snow disciplines. Top skier or rider
competes in National Finals of Next Snow.
January 21st, 2008 - Wisp Super Pipe Classic
     Wisp Resort. McHenry. 1 PM. The region's top snowboarder/skiers will compete in the Wisp
Super Pipe for the top rider in the Super Pipe, various age and ability categories.
January 24th, 2008 - Ski and Board Shop Appreciation Demo Day
     Wisp Resort. Test all the latest skis and board gear from the top name brands in the industry.
January 24th, 2008 - Robert Burns Supper
     Enjoy an evening of food, music and Celtic tradition, celebrating the poetry of Robert Burn,
from "A Red, Red Rose" to "Auld Lang Syne." Hosted by the Garrett Highland Pipes and Drums
and McHenry Highland Festival Board of Directors.
January 26th, 2008 - Burton Demo Tour at Wisp
     Wisp Resort. 10 AM to 3 PM. Try the latest snowboards from Burton!
January 27th, 2008 - Rossignol Sunday Afternoon in the Park Series
     Wisp Resort. Noon registration. 1 PM start. Open style park jam event.
